So I thought it was going to be easy posting new pictures of Savannah! Time gets away from us all! We hope that everyone has a joyous Christmas and wonderful New Year!

Where does the time go?!!

Wow how time flies! Savannah is 5 weeks and 3 days old today! She continues to grow and as of this past Tuesday she was 9lbs and 12 ounces. She is also now 22 inches long. This has been a tough week for her as she has had a little cold and running a fever. Today has been great though as we have all been able to just rest! Lori continues to amaze me. She had a board meeting with the animal shelter on Thursday night and it was just me and Savannah for about 2 1/2 hours. I was exhausted when she got home and told her that I have no idea how she does it all day long! Enough gab.....here are some pictures!

Time Flies!

Yes, I know that it has been over a week and I apologize! So here is the update... Savannah Grace is doing wonderful. She is actually sleeping at night for 4 hour stretches which is very nice! She is such a sweet baby and it is funny because we know now why Lori complained all the time about Savannah kicking her inside the womb. Her arms and legs are very, very active. Diaper changing time is a tag team event. One to hold the legs and the other to change the diaper. We call it family time! Her little smile and grin definitely melts daddy's heart. Lori is doing great, just adjusting to the feeding schedule. She is an amazing mommy! Our life has definitely changed and only for the better. I went back to work on Monday and it was the toughest day I can remember. It is so hard to leave every morning! Savannah will be 2 weeks old tomorrow and time just continues to fly. We go to the pediatrician on Friday for her 2 week well visit. I know that I say this in every post, but it becomes more and more evident daily....God has truly blessed our lives with our little Savannah! We love you all and thanks for being a part of our lives!

What a beautiful day!

It has been quite a busy day today. Savannah had her check up with our pediatrician and he says that she looks wonderful! She has gained almost all her weight back and is now 7 lbs 4 oz. Her jaundice levels were down drastically from just Sunday, so all that sunbathing in the living room paid off!! She did have her 2nd PKU test performed today and it was hard to hear her scream when they pricked her heel. All is better now and dinner is served. Her little umbilical cord fell off about 10 minutes ago. Great moment so we don't have to keep rearranging her diaper around it, but not great enough that we feel we need to keep it for her babybook!! She is changing everyday in little ways and what joy she brings to our lives. God is good!

5 days old already!!

Savannah is 5 days old today! She had a rough night on Saturday night, just never wanting to sleep very long. She went for her 48 hour follow up with the pediatrician on Sunday morning and he said she looks great, other than a little jaundice. He wasn't concerned and we will visit him tomorrow afternoon just to make sure. Savannah will also get her 2nd PKU tomorrow afternoon. Don't think that will be very exciting! Mom and Dad Osuna are here until Wednesday afternoon, along with Lori's mom, Linda, coming to spend the days with Savannah. They have all 3 been a huge help in taking care of us this last week. We are so blessed to have them here!
Savannah had her 1st bath at home last night! Not sure how she felt about the audience watching every move! She had her Aunt Janice and Cousin Austin visit this morning. She just hangs out and looks around at everyone staring at her. No telling what she is thinking!! She seems to be changing everyday and what a joy it is to be able to witness her growth. Well we have finally made it home! I wanted to post a couple of pictures before we head off to take a nap! Lori is doing wonderful and looks beautiful. Savannah enjoyed the ride home and just laid down for her 1st nap. God has truly blessed our lives and we praise him for our bundle of joy. Thank you all for your prayers, phone calls, emails and text messages. Hopefully you will all get to meet little Savannah very soon. Until then, I will continue to post more pictures for you to keep up with. We love you all!

Savannah continues to run out of room more and more each day!!

August Updates!!

We are just 6 days away! By this time next week Savannah will be here! Lori is wanting her to come now, as it is getting more and more uncomfortable each day. We will go on Monday to finalize the details for next Wednesday. If Savannah decides to hold out until Wednesday, Dr. Powell will induce on Wednesday morning. These are exciting times around our home and we are so excited about meeting our sweet baby girl! Please continue to lift us up in prayer, specifically for Lori and Savannah's safe delivery.

New 3D/4D Sonogram Pictures!!

Wow! Simply amazing! This was such an amazing experience to be able to see Savannah! Technology has come a long way. She was smiling, yawning and moving around. I think in the beginning she was a little camera shy because she was covering her face with her hand. Then she warmed up to the camera and was showing us how she can grab her foot. We are truly blessed! Less than 10 weeks to go!!!

More changes!

I know, I know! I am not the best blogger in the world, but I do have an excuse. I have started a new career in sales with a technology company, EMC. This is officially the end of my 1st week! We are really excited about this opportunity for me and our family.

On an even more exciting note, Savannah continues to grow and grow. Mommy is feeling good, just beginning to get tired sooner in the day. Oh, and the San Antonio heat has just begun!! Lori plans on spending most of the summer in the pool! This past week she was a model at a fundraising event for the Pregnancy Care Center of San Antonio. One of the ladies there took some pictures and when I get them I will post them. Such a beautiful mommy-to-be!

We are going to have a 3D-4D sonogram tomorrow morning. Some friends of ours just had one done and they said it was amazing. We will let you all know! We are only have 10 weeks and 3 days left until our due date. We can't wait!!

Revamped with new pictures

This post is for all the people giving me a hard time about not posting new pictures!!! Also, we are expecting our crib next week and when we have the nursery set up I will post some before and after pics. Hope everyone is doing well!

Happy Mother's Day!

First of all, I would like to say thank you to all the moms reading this blog. You are all truly special and loved!
I also wanted to give an update on how things are going around here. We spent all day Saturday working on Savannah's nursery. It is finally all painted, but there are still a few little things that need to be done. Savannah continues to get stronger every day, just ask Lori how strong her kicks are!!
I promise that I will post some pictures this week of Lori & Savannah and also of our vacation.

Her name will be........ Savannah Grace!

Sorry it has been almost a month since I posted anything, but it has been a busy month. We went on vacation to Florida for a week and had a wonderful time. This was our "babymoon"! It was great to spend several days with our friends Jason, Kelly and their son Caden. Lots of beach, golf, sun and fun! We had been tossing several names around and on vacation we just start saying the name we really liked to people in conversation. Savannah Grace continued to just sound perfect to us. It is so great now being able to call her by her name!

It's official.....we are having a Girl!!!

That's right! My mom is getting the girls she always wanted.... daughters-in-law and now granddaughters!! We are so excited and now the fun part begins. Lori already has our day planned out tomorrow with looking for cribs, bedding, paint colors and the list goes on!

Dr. Powell said that everything looked great and told Lori to enjoy these next several weeks as much as she can because the hot South Texas summer will be here soon!

We are so thankful for all the prayers and words of encouragement from our family and friends.

Happy Birthday Lori!!

We are about to get washed away here in San Antonio. It has rained all day and dumped about 4 inches of rain so far! At least our grass will be green soon! This day 33 years ago a baby girl was born in Jefferson City, Missouri. It is really cool to be celebrating Lori's birthday knowing that here in a few months we will be doing the same thing for our little baby! Hope all is well with each of your families!

16 1/2 Week Appointment

We had our appointment this morning and everything looks great! Dr. Powell did an ultrasound for us to see if he could determine the gender. We were able to see all 10 fingers and toes. It was so cute because the baby's legs were crossed Indian-style as the arms were moving all over the place. Dr. Powell said that he is not 100%, but by what he saw on the screen his instincts tell him that we are having a baby...........girl! Her heart rate was a whopping 160 beats/minute. Lori and I are both so excited about our bundle of joy! Please continue to pray for the development and health of our baby and momma! Check below for updated ultrasound pictures! Also, we will be going back for the official ultrasound appointment on Friday, April 6. Please check back for updates!

Doctor's Appointment - Baby Update

Today we are 14 weeks!! It is such a wonderful feeling!! Well, Friday we went back to the doctor for a routine visit and heard that little heartbeat just thumping away!! Dr. Powell found the heartbeat the second he placed the monitor on Lori's stomach. It was such an amazing sound to hear! Lori has had a few more longer stretches of time the past couple of days where she has not felt nauseated, but nights are still pretty rough. We appreciate all the prayers and support. We will be posting some more pictures soon so stay tuned.....

If you didn't already know.....

We are pregnant!! Today we are 3 months and 5 days. We are so blessed and look forward to August 20, when our new bundle of joy will arrive. (Not a bad 30th birthday present for a first time dad!!) We go back to the doctor this Friday, Febuary 16 for a check up. Lori has been very nauseated and sick this first trimester so we are praying for a calmer remainder of the pregnancy. We will continue to post updates so check back anytime you want!
